Minne-Mecan

Minne-Mecan as we have dubbed it, is a small offshoot of our main business - Mecan River Outfitters and Lodge located near Princeton, Wisconsin.

A beautiful log cabin nestled in the Superior National Forest really gets you away from it all.
This rustic retreat sits adjacent to the Superior Hiking Trail and the North Shore Ski Trail System. Just a short 2 hour drive north of Duluth-Superior. It is truly an area that is worth the drive. Treat her kindly so we can all return time and time again to enjoy.

Cabin Info
The cabin sleeps up to 8 people but carries a 4 person minimum charge. Minne-Mecan has a woodstove, gas lights, a 2-burner counter top stove, tea kettle, wash basin, firewood and water in 5 gallon container and of course the outdoor privy.

You supply - sleeping bag or bedroll, pillows, towels, cooking and eating utensils and cooler.

Pets not allowed.

No smoking Policy as well.

Grand Marais has a year-round public swimming pool with hot tub and showers. Open 7 days a week. It's a great place to clean up. You will find you can rough it quite easily.

Minne-Mecan is located 6 miles from Grand Marais, on FS Rd. 158.

Rates

Winter rates based on 4 people - but can sleep up to 8. Summer rates based on 6 people - but can sleep up to 8. 2 night minimum. Rate is per night.

Midweek Special: Rent 3 days - 4th day free.

Deposit & Reservation Policy

All stays are prepaid in advance. 30 day cancellation notice must be given to refund deposit minus a $25 handling charge. Check-in is at Bear Track Outfitting (May through September) or at their Rose Bush Creek Ranch (October through April). Daylight check-in is preferable for first-time guests. Check-in after 2 p.m., check-out by 12 noon. Holiday rates apply Christmas - 12/21-1/1; Martin Luther King - 1/17-1/19; President's Day - 2/15-2/17. Contact us at 920-295-3439.
